So today I had my Italian controlled assessment. It was supposed to be after school but the dumb teacher moved it to lunchtime. Who wants a lesson at lunchtime? I don’t normally do anything at lunchtime, even eat (I know I should). Me and my friend had been learning the controlled assessment for the whole two weeks so we were prepared but I knew a few people were hoping to learn it that lunchtime. As I went in to the classroom we had to put our bags in the middle of the room and sit in our seats in silence. I think I did OK because I had learnt it and wrote it out quite quickly. It was when I was checking mine through that I noticed the boy next to me had brought a page of exactly what he was supposed to learn in to the assessment and was just copying the page on to his assessment when the teacher wasn’t looking. I saw what he was doing and he was definitely cheating so when it had finished I told the teacher, I was really annoyed because he hadn’t even tried to learn his and it wasn’t that hard to learn if you tried. But now I don’t now if I should have told the teacher because he might get kicked out of the class. Was what I did right?
For those of you who don’t know a controlled assessments make up part of the a language GCSE. You write a 200 word piece and have 2 week to learn it, you then have to write it up from memory in exam conditions.
